Commissioned for a compilation release at Argentina's fantastic Temiong label (the same folks who brought you Imperial Grey), Jel Gun is an exotic sounding, almost hip-hop driven dub groove, sprayed in a sexy coat of soft white noise and buoyantly floating just above the horizon line with its sub bassline. For what it's worth, Jel Gun could be considered a sort of precursor to the years-in-the-making-and-imminent-this-year Ocean Lion 3. Tropical heat and humidity for prepared electronics and sun-baked island flavours. Backed with a previously unreleased extended version, this EP (yes, I do still make those) will be your go-to once those Spring showers arrive and you need a quick Halifax fix (Halifix?) without leaving the comfort of your easy chair...
