At Water's Edge

by Coppice Halifax

A deeply transfigurative excavation of my NOXIOUS VARIATIONS album, issued in 2009 under my birthname, rearranged here at the molecular level, from the skeletal, noisy and feedback-crusted experiments of the NOXIOUS sessions to a psychedelic evocation of a pastoral landscape, heavy with humidity and Southern sunlight. Primarily sourced from the NOXIOUS piece 'At Forest's Edge, Water Laps Over The Rocks', this expansive reinterpretation goes through several phases of crumbling dub techno chords, long bent lines of something resembling a synthesizer lead and many different shades and amalgams of both, with all elements in some type of process or movement between poles for the duration. A vibrant piece of ambient techno that recalls many of the textural ideas that Coppice Halifax as a project was designed to explore, and a lush counterpoint to the wild and overgrown images of the natural world at play on NOXIOUS VARIATIONS.

**NOTE: For listeners unfamiliar with the NOXIOUS VARIATIONS album who wish to take the full trip, a special ltd. edition 2xCD-R box set, which includes this deep mix, awaits you here:
