Autumn Excavation

about

In 2008, I recorded an experimental album of drones covered in thick audio detritus, bearing the name Autumn Soil Feedback. In the time since then, A.S.F. has remained out of print and largely unheard by anyone who signed on with my music after 2008 (which is to say, a whole lot of people). So, as the Autumn season of 2013 settled in around my house, I decided not only to remaster and reissue Autumn Soil Feedback, but to revisit the session tapes for a remix as well. This remix is the Coppice Halifax Excavation, a massive 30+ minute piece of slowly evolving deep techno, where the original drones have been recycled and composted in that unique CH way, and new shapes begin to form inside the fog. The Excavation was appended to the reissue of Autumn Soil Feedback, but considering its length and singular potency, I have decided to give it a solo digital release here as well, especially considering the fact that a lot of CH fans might not enjoy the more challenging A.S.F. album material as much as this mix, although the door remains open and the challenge unaccepted, so that part is up to you.
