A comprehensive collection of almost every Coppice Halifax remix released to date, spread across eight packed discs and bookended with a handful of colorful original pieces. The Cmx series started in 2008 as an ongoing open-ended narrative to chart Coppice Halifax's progress through the years, and six years later there's a metric ton of audio to digest. Running the gamut from braindance-influenced ambient techno to deeper dub techno, and everything in between, as well as a few subdued ambient works, the first seven volumes of Cmx contain some of my best moments (and also some of my most unique and expressive) under the Coppice Halifax name. While the series is by no means complete (as I type this, another two and a half hours of CH remixes await release at their various stations) this box set is an essential milemarker for the project, and a testament to my enthusiasm for the remix as an art form.
