Aeia 01:03:21

about

Heavy Orbit is comprised of a single piece, just over an hour in length, named "Aeia." An organically grown structure from tape loops (harvested from the Rurals track "Floating") and the sonic ashes of burnt out analog drum machines, anchored to the planet's atmosphere by organ pedal-bass and an increasingly monstrous low-end harmony. "Aeia" is the sound of a massive vessel, built in deep space, that has lost power to its principal navigation and propulsion facilities, and is now slowly descending in a decaying drop to the surface. Strains of sadness, disconnection and futility create shadows over Heavy Orbit's more melodic aspects, leaving the listener to meditate on the outcome of this doomed ship's fall from the sky.
