about

September brings cooler air and shorter days, a welcome respite from the oppressive heat of each Carolinian sub-tropical summer. Appropriately, the ninth RX of the year is a cool, dusky sweep of burnt leaves and deep golden hues of setting sunlight, all carried fragrantly along on a light breeze that curves in the purple air like invisible poetry. A wondrous calm surrounds the listener with gently bubbling hi hats and AM radio fizzed chord stabs, while the last remnant of a house bassline repeats lazily in a lock-groove.

"Will the wind ever remember the names it has blown in the past?"
-J.A. Hendrix, 1967
