Sleeping Under Furs is an informally assembled album that collects eight alternate versions of Coppice Halifax material from Vapor Acre, the Analog Botany series and the recent Leaf Cloak album. With an emphasis on heavier rhythms and thick bass movements, these versions were originally developed for live performances and club environments. As with many reworks in the CH universe, the source material is mutated and renewed, making almost completely new tracks out of the original sounds. Fans of past albums like Midnight Snax and Verdant Versions will find a lot to like here, and listeners who are familiar with the source material in question will likely enjoy this tangential walk through the CH backwoods as well.
