A triad of alternative mixes using the same source recordings that were utilized to create Polysom. These tracks are much less experimental than Polysom, however they still retain plenty of contour and grit between the grid-lines of their techno rhythms. Going from a thick slab of dense dancefloor concrete on 5-HT, to a throbbing pastoral wall of static and warm light on Evoked Fields, finally closing with the lush twenty-minute-plus slow burn of Heavy Swamp, which recalls both the de-rezzed reggae of Jel Gun and the woodsy vinyl looping of Verdant Acre. Somx maintains a solidarity of constant bass hum and sub-level pulses throughout its three-path exhibit, making it a perfect companion for a DJ set, a walk outside or a discrete home stereo experience.
