  Upon cleaning out another cluttered box in a basement room next to the studio, I found a number of interesting and unique artifacts from the Milieu Music catalog. Up for sale here is ONE COPY of the Coppice Halifax self-titled album, in a configuration that was never released. Even though 1983 was the first CH recording to be issued, the self-titled album was recorded first, and by the time EED issued it in 2008, it was drastically changed via a different mix and master that blended the tracks and texturized them into the album you know today. Initially, all of the tracks were separated, unedited/longer and far less textured/compressed, and that is how they are presented here, on this one-shot copy of the album. I assembled this as a test to see what it might look like released at Milieu Music, before discarding it into my big studio storage box and giving the album to EED for David Tagg to design and package instead. Were it not for that decision, and the delay that followed, what you see here may well have been the CH s/t. As of right now, there are no further plans for this unreleased mix of the album, so this copy could be the only place it ever comes out. A truly unique piece of Halifaxian lore!
