An experimental CH concept piece, consisting of thirty-one different two hour-long field recordings - one for each day in May - layered together and processed according to sets of numerical reference points, frequency band alignments and complex rules governing placement within the stereo field. The result is something unintentionally rhythmic and electronic sounding, while still conveying density and humidity while (hopefully) distorting the listener's sense of time and the feeling of moving forward / not moving at all.
“The rock, for its part, is not even aware of our existence because we are alive for only a brief instant of its lifespan. To it, we are like flashes in the dark."
-M. Crichton, 1969
