Assembled by hand, one copy at a time, in the White Pillar Workshop. Two white recordable discs, duplicated and printed via an Imation D20, held securely inside a dual-disc cast polypropylene sleeve with a flap and a soft cloth membrane to separate the two discs. Includes two hand-cut recycled cardstock inserts (110 lb) bearing 4x4" glossy photographic prints of the original 'Raft' and 'River Tableaux' covers.

'Raft and River' collects two Coppice Halifax albums that were recorded and released in 2014 - 'Raft' (ABX30) and 'River Tableaux' (ABX31) - and reinstates them as a double-album for their shared tenth anniversaries. Both of these albums were built in the exact same way, using the same studio tools and methodology, and both came into being as a sort of 'expanded single' for compilation tracks that were originally issued at Cold Fiction.

Reassembled and revisited here, 'Raft and River' feel like more of a designed pair than they might not, expressing many of my interests in textured analog-driven electronic music and minimal dub music at that point in time. They feel warm and humid, very much a part of the sweltering subtropical climes they originated from, and perhaps could even be considered as supplemental works to more important 2014 sessions such as 'Whitehope' or the second leg of 'Static Pharming' that was running concurrently from month to month that year.

'Raft and River' have been reinstated, but not remastered, as I am beginning to feel that my work from a decade prior has finally hit some kind of a plateau point, where I am either content to leave it as it is, as a time capsule, or I already feel the material is sufficiently mixed and mastered. Both albums have been out of print for years, and this tenth anniversary reissue aims to recirculate the recordings with newer cover photography (for the digital version) and a reduced "nice price," alongside a limited 2xCD-R edition that includes both of the original photographic covers for 'Raft' and 'River Tableaux.' Gratitude is owed to James at Cold Fiction for inviting me, again and again, to contribute work to his label, and in so doing, for facilitating the creation of these albums.
